Winter: I really like this jacket as a winter shell to block out wind and wet snow over an insulating layer. The jacket leaves some room for the right layer and still keeps a nice comfortable fit.

Patagonia Super Cell Jacket
The Patagonia Super Cell is a light weight rain jacket or winter shell designed with Gore-Tex paclite to be breathable, waterproof and pack-able. The super cell is one of the most versatile shells Patagonia makes. Gore-Tex pro Alpine style jackets can be over kill for many situations and in contrast the super cell is right on for hiking, skiing, camping, climbing and staying dry. However, the jacket is not as durable as Patagonia Super Alpine or an Arc'teryx SV.
